Trump campaign ditches Project 25 reform plan under Democratic pressure

Donald Trump shut down a notorious plan to swap out experienced expectant civil servants with his cronies and institute aggressive policies, after vilification from Democrats.

This was part of the ambitious nine-hundred-page “Project 2025” strategy prepared by the far-right Heritage Foundation, which saw that returning Trump-supporting acolytes to the civil service was necessary to begin implementing huge tax reforms and more.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have restricted the project which was organized without the participation of the official Trump campaign, considering this to be a threat for democracy.

Project 2025 is the most dangerous plan ever conceived in the United States’ history meant to undermine democracy and personal liberty, Biden said at a rally in Michigan on October 2021. What he described as “Trump people,” he said, ran and funded it, and termed it as a groundwork for another Trump term.

To appeal voters who are less conservative on matters like abortion, Mr Trump has tried to distance himself from the project in the recent past, not knowing that many of the groups and persons associated with the project belong to him.

Three weeks ago Mr Trump wrote on Truth Social: “To be honest, I have never heard of Project 2025, I have no info who stands behind it. ”

The daily beast on Tuesday disclosed that the project has been canceled contrary to its development after a Trump campaign figure, Chris LaCivita, got wind of it.

The president Trump’s campaign was very blunt since last year stating that they never had any affiliation Project 2025, never spoke for the campaign and should not be affiliated to the campaign or the president in any way the campaign said this.

“Any reports about the end of Project 2025 should be welcome, and anyone or any group thinking that they can assay and manipulate their relation with President Trump and his campaign, they are in for a very rude shock.

There may be others who have read information about Project 25 and were surprised by the remarks of the former president. Analyzing the data CNN came up with 140 individuals who worked in the Trump administration linked to PROJECT 2025.

However, while speaking at the Heritage Foundation in 2022, he said about Project 25: “ladies and gentlemen, this is a great group, they are going to provide detail about when and how exactly our movement and your movement is going to implement the agenda of the American people when they give the colossal mandate to save America. ”

Project 25 did not reply to questions from The Telegraph, as was the case previously in this list of takeaways.

It is although curious that Mr Trump tried to dissociate from a group whose policies are considered hardline given that his campaign for the presidency was recently dealt a blow when Mr Biden pulled out of his campaign and was replaced by Vice President Harris.

Launching the campaign of Ms Harris, 59, the first week has seen the candidate collect more than $100 million in donation and a surge in the polls.
