Doug Emhoff acknowledges reports of an affair during his first marriage

The cognizance came in the form of the husband to Harris, former Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, by body language appearing to admit that he cheated in his first marriage before he met the then San Francisco Mayor. 
 
The report of an affair with Emhoff was published in tabloid paper known as Daily Mail and the second gentleman did confirm the report. 
 
“My first wife, Kerstin and I had some difficulties because of my conduct,” Emhoff said in a statement that was seen by CNN and NBC News among other media houses. “I stood up and did that, and for the following years we managed to address things as a couple and are now better off. ” 
 
Emhoff’s affair was disclosed to people who conducted a vetting process for Kamala Harris when the, later, she was considered to be Biden’s vice-presidential nominee in 2020, insiders report. The source also stated that Harris was aware of the affair before she tying the knot with Emhoff. 
 
Kerstin Emhoff, the first wife of Emhoff said that the two parted ways and decided to divorce for several reasons many years ago. 
 
Doug is indeed a great father to our kids, remains a great friend to me and very proud of the warm and supportive inter blended family we have realized, Kamala added. 
 
The vice president has not said anything on the reports of the affair to the public domain. 
 
It is over the weekend that Harris’ campaign will be carrying out research on the potential running mates. On Tuesday, Harris intends to launch a seven-state tour with the VP nominee soon to be picked.
