Selena Gomez Reveals She Unable to Carry Her Own Children That Was Something I Had to Grieve

Recently, Selena Gomez said that she is unable to carry children. 
 
In her Vanity Fair cover story that came out Monday, the actress-singer spoke about how she has been unable to be pregnant safely due to her medical conditions. 
 
“This is something I never really got to say before but I can’t really carry my own children because I have a lot of medical complications that endanger my life and the baby’s as well,” explained the Only Murders in the Building celebrity. 
 
Lupus was diagnosed on her in 2013 and later on the lady had to undergo a kidney transplant. She also triumphed with the facts about her bipolar disorder which she disclosed in her documentary My Mind and Me on Apple TV+. 
 
Playing the role of astronaut Lucy, in the movie ‘’Don’t Look Up’’, Gomez, in 2022 stated in a Rolling Stone magazine interview about her desire of having a child. She said she cried in the car after visiting a friend who was on the process of having her own baby knowing that she was taking two medications used for Bipolar Disorder, which makes her incapable of conceiving and bearing her own children. 
 
“That’s a very big, big present thing in my life,” she said of having children at the time “However I’m meant to have them, I will. ” 
 
Nevertheless, the star of Emilia Pérez, who has been treated for various illnesses, said that she does not mind about the alternatives she has to become a mother, which are adoption and surrogacy. 
 
“It is not that I wanted it that way,” she recalls of experiencing parenthood, she expected it to be like what is depicted in movie. “[But] I’m in a much better place with that. I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me. It made me really thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms. I’m one of those people. I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different. Ironically Gomez has in the past been vocal about her desire to adopt a child before. In an interview with Time magazine prior this year, she said that if she was yet to find a partner by 35 years of age she would adopt. “I was single for five years and got used to it; many people are scared of being solo, and I probably tormented myself for about two years being single, then, I accepted it. I had my strategy: I would have adopted when I was turning 35 if I did not find anyone,” she said. 
 
32, the reporter came out in December last year announcing her affair with boyfriend Benny Blanco. She said to an interviewer of Vanity Fair in regard of the music producer, ‘I’ve never been loved this way’. “He’s just been a light. A complete light in my life. He sticks with me all the time… He is my best friend I share all my thinking with him. 
 
Should Gomez get married, she also revealed that she has no plans to change her last name: ‘I’m not going to change my name for anything in this world, I am Selena Gomez, that is what I have to say. ’
