Mass high school basketball coach accused of sexually assaulting student at Manchester motel facing federal charges

A varsity boys basketball coach at a Massachusetts high school, accused of sexually assaulting a female high school student at a Manchester motel in 2022, was indicted in federal court this week, said prosecutors. 
 
Jesus Moore 35 years of age and from Manchester now residing in Lawrence Mass, engaged in the transport of a former student of Lawrence High School on or about March 7 2022. Investigative, N those are the comments of officials and at the time the former student was below the legal age of 18 years. 
 
Moore was being accused of the aggravated felonious sexual assault. 
 
The information posted on the school website and Moore’s Linked posted Moore as holding the varsity boys basketball coaching position at Lawrence High School located in Lawrence, Massachusetts for the last five years. He has also served the district in the capacity of teaching physical education and also as the director of PACE; an educational and behavioral management program of the school. 
 
Manchester New Hampshire police charges a staff member of Lawrence Public Schools stating that the employee in question is currently on an administrative leave, the school district’s director of communications said Chris Markuns earlier this year. On current affairs of the police or employees, LPS will not have further statement. 
 
A request for the status of Moore’s employment made this week has not been answered. 
 
Manchester police responded to the call from Lawrence police that there was a reported sexual assault in the Queen City. 
 
The Lawrence police were informed about the alleged sexual assault by SafeSport which is an organization that deals with cases of abuse in sports complementary education and accountably. 
 
According to Manchester police, Moore were said to have picked a female student on the pretext that he would drop her to Manchester, “he gave her alcohol and proceeded to sexually assault her at a Manchester motel,” said the police in their statement. 
 
The act occurred in the year 2022 and the victim was a juvenile as rated by the police force. 
 
Moore surrendered himself to the Manchester police in the February and the amount of the cash bail was set at $ 1000.
