Cate Blanchett, Zoe Saldaña, Steven Soderbergh to Keynote Toronto Film Festival

Toronto Film Festival revealed more speakers for the next year, in September, some of them are Cate Blanchett, Zoe Saldaña and Steven Soderbergh. 
 
Blanchett will be in Toronto along with two of her latest projects: Alfonso Cuarón’s Disclaimer, and Evan Johnson, Galen Johnson and Guy Maddin’s Rumours, were presented for the first time in Cannes. The undoubtedly gifted Cate Blanchett, star of Tár, Blue Jasmine, Carol, and Elizabeth will also be in Toronto to accept the Tribute Award as well as to sit for ‘In Conversation With…’ 
 
Speakers at TIFF are selected from filmmakers that have films in the official Toronto Film Festival program. Saldaña also has a starring vehicle in the Toronto-bound Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez, and Soderbergh is expected to be in town for his ghost story, Presence that has Lucy Liu and Chris Sullivan headlining. 
 
Over and above that, Korean stars Hyun Bin and Lee Dong-wook will discus about their experiences in the Korean film and television industry as they present their espionage thriller, Harbin on the film festival gateway to the world premiere. 
 
TIFF’S Visionaries sidebar will commission Freeform chats with Oscar-winning filmmaker Cuarón (Gravity’s director, Roma’s writer-director), Pixar animation wunderkind Pete Docter (Up, Inside Out), Franklin Leonard of the Black List, British television titan Steven Moffat (Doctor Who), and Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai. 
 
In terms of films, it flagged the Toronto fest to kick off on Sept. 5 with Nutcrackers, a comedy to be directed by David Gordon Green starring Ben Stiller and the next will be the closing films of the 2024 edition would be The Deb , to be directed by Rebel Wilson and starring Rebel Wilson as well, which is an adapted musical, originally contested in Australia. 
 
The Toronto Film Festival Next is pencilled for September 5 to September 15.
