World’s Leading Experts on Nutrition in Medicine to Present on Trending Health Topics at Conference in Washington, D.C., Aug. 15-17

The two-day event that will be held on Aug. 15-17 will be jointly presided by u s Congressman Adam Schiff and Richard Horton, editor in chief and publisher of Lancet According to the organizers, more than 25 global experts On Nutrition in Medicine will speak about trending issues such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, Indigenous health, breast cancer, gut health, American’s dietary guidelines, and improving hospital food quality. 
 
The target audience will include physicians, advanced practice clinicians, dietitians, nutrition educators, and many other professionals that will be able to hear from over 25 practitioners about the most recent research and evidence on nutrition and can integrate into practice. This medical conference occurs at the Grand Hyatt Washington , 1000 H St. , NW, Washington, D. C. It is co sponsored by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine which is a nonprofit medical group of over 17 000 physician members, and the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Dec. 15, Dr. Dean Ornish will share his new findings about his study, which evidenced that healthy plant-based diets and other necessary positive changes at early stages of Alzheimer’s disease can enhance the signs of brain function. 
Apart from Dr. Ornish, others that presented issues related to brain health include John Duda whose presentation expounded on latest discoveries on the pro and antioxidant foods affecting Parkinson disease. 
 
Speaking about neurocognitive function, there is Dr. Kirk Erickson, hormone replacement therapy and dementia by Dr. Amani Meaidi, and does vaccination reduce dementia risk by Dr. Paul Schulz. 
 
Dr. Neal Barnards program will be accompanied by Dr. Vanita Rahaman to unveil tactics on weight management.

Organized by Physicians Committee’s Culinary Specialist Chef Dustin Harder with the help of the Institute of Culinary Education, this plant-based energetic cooking show will present hospital’s food in the best possible way with three chefs. 
 
The available speciality menu will also include recipes from the Physicians Committee on the Healthy Hospital Program, a new lobby created to assist hospitals in providing the healthiest meals for their consumers. The recipe featured will bring to essence of how plant-based meals are being served in hospitals across the nation.
