Who is Ingrid Andress? What to know about national anthem singer, 4-time Grammy nominee

Before ladies and gentlemen of the world recognized her as the singer responsible for the popular national anthem, she was a Grammy-nominated singer with four Grammy nominations to her name and a popular song for 2019 titled More Hearts Than Mine. 
 
Andress, 32, sang ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ Monday night at the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas, The performance elicited quite a reaction earning it an ‘interesting’ and ‘bizarre’ label and on Tuesday, the singer posted on social media saying that was due to alcohol. 
 
”I was drunk last night,” the lady posted on her Twitter and Instagram accounts on Tuesday. ‘I am going to a facility today to get the help I need’, he said, confirming that the man seen on television the previous night was not him ‘That was not me last night’. He apologized to MLB, all the fans and this country he loves so much for the rendition he presented yesterday. 
 
Who is Ingrid Andress? One of the Grammy nominees, he actively sings and composes songs. 
 
Caitlin Andress was born in Southfield, Michigan, but her family moved to Colorado when she was young; her father’s occupation was a baseball coach for the Colorado Rockies. Andress is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music located in Boston and was on NBC’s ‘The Sing Off’ with an a cappella band. 
 
At first, when she relocated to Nashville, in 2013 Andress was solely a songwriter where she penned down tunes such as Charli XCX Boy’s 2017 and Bebe Rexha Girl in the Mirror 2019. 
 
Andress came through with her first studio album, “Lady Like,” which was established in 2020 and attained the Billboard Top Country Albums’ ninth position. This was achieved through her debut album that had her rise single, More Hearts Than Mine which was released in 2019 and reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 20. 
 
It paved way to Grammy nods for the works of Andress. 
 
Indeed in 2021 Andress has received nominations for three Grammy awards namely best country album, best country song and best new artist. 
 
After the album she came out with her 2022 album titled “Good Person” which features the song “Wishful Drinking” in which she was joined by Sam Hunt. The song also got her a Grammy nomination in the year 2023 in the category of Best Country Duo/Group Performance. 
 
Other songs may be familiar to the listeners and have probably been listening to other songs composed by Andress; one of which is “Feel Like This,” and “Bed on Fire,” where Andress collaborates with recording artist Teddy Swims (“Lose Control”).
