Seneca High School Football Hosts Their Youth Football Camp

Seneca High School Football Hosts Their Youth Football Camp

Over at Seneca this evening players, their coaches, parents and campers convened at the Tom Hodge Field for their Youth Football Camp.

This provided the camp for the day for grade 3rd-6th and the camp for this evening was from 7-8. 30p. m.

The camp was being conducted by the coaching personnel of Seneca and few of the Seneca football players.

These were the various exercises that were carried out by the campers in the different categories involving the offense and the defense.

There was one thing that Head Coach Cody Hilburn wanted to do with the campers and that was to get them to know the flow that the high school team uses; to this end, they began to set and run plays like the varsity teams.

Spoke to Coach Hilburn and one of his senior players on how good it is to see people turn up for the camp, and a youth camper to tell us what he likes most.

Cody Hilburn, Seneca head football coach, said, “ Seneca is a special place to coach football and and these kids grow loving it from a young age and for me, I get to work with them in this youth camp and hopefully for me, I am still around when they join high school, then I get to coach them there”.

Besides, there is Seneca Senior Defensive End Nolan Napier ‘It’s awesome. It’s just so amped up. It’s only July and we’re already out here doing this and the crowds pumped, the community’s pumped, so it’s awesome. It feels pretty good because I know I was looking up to the high schoolers back in my day and now they’re out here looking up to us. It’s awesome’.

6th Grade Youth Camper LD mentioned, “It has been rather entertaining doing all the defensive set and the offense set. ”

“You know, it’s hard to decide because I enjoyed almost every moment of it. ”

“Most likely repeating the plays that they execute”.

The second youth football camp for kids 1st to 6th grad will be held for those interested in Seneca on Thursday from 7-8:30 p. m.
