Rod Stewart Postpones Two More Concerts, Days After Canceling 200th Las Vegas Show

The famous singer claimed that he had to cancel two of the performances of his North American tour because he contracted COVID-19.
In this article Rod Stewart is reported to be having to cancel two more concerts, hot on the heels of his having to cancel his 200th show in Las Vegas.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, the legendary singer said, “Due to an incident of a summer strain of COVID-19 we have some disappointing news; thus, Rod Stewart’s concert in Stateline NV tonight and August 10th in Lincoln CA have been canceled. ”
He also said that the two shows on his North American tour that have been influenced include one of the dates the cancelled show was supposed to take place on 20-August and the other show was supposed to take place on 18-August. “Any ticket holders should retain them as such due to the shows being rescheduled for another date,” he said in his final remarks on the matter.
Stewart was scheduled to perform at The Hits show for his Las Vegas residency on August 7 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and this would have been his 200th concert in the past 13 years; however, he was not well and had contracted strep throat.
“I’m desperately sorry to not be able to make it to this 200th show celebration Most people can work with strep throat but obviously not me,” he said in Instagram when he was sic. “Oh, I’m feeling so disappointed, really upset I’ve been waiting for this concert for so long; I truly apologize for any annoyance this has caused. ”
The concert was intended to mark the end of the singer’s Stratosphere residency that began in 2011 before going on the singer’s 2024 North American tour. Stewart, however, said on Wednesday the residency would now be coming back in 2025 for the Encore Shows.
His live shows in Canada and United States are planned for his 2024 North American trek that is set to end on September 15, 2024before the musician proceeds to Europe to perform several concerts. It is also worthy to note that Stewart is planning on a new show residency in Vegas starting from the March of the following year.
