Peter Dinklage Is Optimistic Toxic Avenger Reboot Will Get Released and “Have Its Day in the Toxic Sun”
Little does Peter Dinklage realize how much he loves the reboot for The Toxic Avenger and just wants people to watch it.
The veteran Emmy-winning actor was recently asked if the film could have a general release soon since it was described as ‘a really big hit’ after joining the Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, last year.
“Well, I am not a producer on it actually and I don’t think,” Dinklage responded to ComicBook. com. “I do want it to get out there into the world because it was a really big hit at Fantastic Fest in Austin and Macon Blair the writer/director who is also in The Thicket … He is amazing, He is one of my favorites and favorite artist. ”
The Game of Thrones alum also said “So hopefully it will have its day in the toxic sun. ”
In addition to the recently released TV adaptation, ‘The Toxic Avenger,’ is a reboot of the 1984 horror-comedy film about a janitor named Winston Gooze suffering from a terminal illness which his employer will not pay for treatment. Yet after changing the company’s pockets, emptying them then, Winston stumbles into toxic waste intent on saving society as the Toxic Avenger, the mutant.
The horror-comedy film that hold 92% of the ROTTEN TOMATOES score, from the critics based on 25 reviews, following its premiere of the Fantastic Fest in September 23, has not confirmed any release date yet.
The reboot also features Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Elijah Wood as well as Kevin Bacon.
