Oklahoma high school football 2024 Class 2A-I preseason rankings

These are the Oklahoma high school football teams in the Class 2A-I with ranks from 1 through 32.

The performances of the teams are given in the parentheses for the last season.

1. Washington (15-0): Despite having to play this year in a much stronger 2A-II district, the defending 2A champion Warriors are winners of their last 30 games, and they are aiming to become the second Oklahoma high school football team in the history of the sport to win three consecutive Class 2A state titles. Returners all across the roster from Ohio State commit Nate Roberts to running back Hudson Howard will play gigantic parts just as they always have.

2. Millwood (13-2): As long as Darwin Franklin is masterminding the Falcons on the touchline, you can never rule them out. Hiring still has talent across the board and the return of the receiver Xzavier Thompson, linebacker Cameron Carter, and QB CJ Turnbull for the millwood Falcons is a promising sign.

3. Jones (11-3): Longhorns continue to be among the favorites the 2A-I after amassing an 11-3 record last season and had a chance at the state title game, before Washington started the comeback in the semis. Mundelein is lead by Riley Ellefson the tight end and Acyn Hansen the Quarter back.

4. Marlow (9-4): The last time the Outlaws took the field, they came up short against this year’s runner-up Heritage Hall by a game-winning field goal in the state’s Class 3A semifinals. Marlow arrives in 2A-I this season as one of the initial options under head and ball boss Matt Weber.

5. Kiefer (13-1): The Trojan were twelve seconds from a state championship game before a touchdown by Millwood took them into the finals. Kiefer is being led by running back Bradley Breland, Titus Bell a linebacker and John Watkins a defensive lineman.

6. Metro Christian (8-3): Though they have experienced a major threat in their senior players, the Patriots are coming for more after reaching the quarterfinal stage last year. The new Metro Christian’s game list looks less strict for a start and will count on the return of seniors Isaiah Knapp and Eason Wagenblatt for beating 2024 games.

7. Chandler (8-3): Watch out for the Lions, and their skill position players. For Chandler this year’s running back Grant McGinnis, receiver Cruz Jackson and defensive back Dylan Rodriguez will be the main players.

8. Oklahoma Christian School (9-2): All of the Saints’ top contributors from last year are gone, however OCS on of the most talented and rotation-rich teams in 2A-I.

9. Prague (11-1): What’s more the Red Devils have a very experienced senior quarterback in Luke Linville and scores of fireworks around him including Prague’s fast running back duo of Ronan Martin and Tate McClendon.

10. Sperry (7-4): The Pirates are coached by Robert Park, who has spent quite some time observing some things in the course of his thirty-five years at Sperry. Still, they have not been able to get through the first round of the playoffs in almost five years now. Behind talent such as 6-foot-3 senior receiver Jett Booth, they should have a solid chance to break that streak in 2024.

Others: 11. Kingston (10-2); 12. Lindsay (7-4); 13. Heavener (7-4); 14. Sequoyah Tahlequah (8-4); 15. Crossings Christian (7-4); 16. Chisholm (6-5); 17. Tulsa Central (5-5); 18. Lexington (5-6) 19. Dickinson (4-6); 20. Mt. St. Mary (2-8); 21. Perry (5-5); 22. Hugo (3-7); 23. Bethel (2-8); 24. Dewey (1-9); 25. Blackwell (1-9); 26. Little Axe (1-8); 27. Roland (1-9); 27. Westville (1-9); 28. Roland (1-9); 29. Okmulgee (0-10); 30. Marietta (0-9); 31. Crooked Oak (0-10); 32. Webster (0-1)
