Indiana high school football Super 25 rankings: Check out Week 1 statewide poll

Besides the Indiana high school football poll, where a group of media from across Indiana votes on, we are bringing the IndyStar Super 25 this season that lists the highest 25 teams in Indiana irrespective of the class. My power poll going into the season:My power poll going into the season: 
 
1. Ben Davis: From the defending champions in Class 6A, one can quickly note that the top dog is the reigning king until the title is otherwise won. Friday’s game: vs. Cathedral. 
 
2. Warren Central: I get all animated about the Warriors entering the season with their skilled and experienced defense. Friday’s game: at Fort Wayne Snider. 
 
3. Center Grove: The Trojans were a 38-39 overtime loss away from competing for a fourth straight 6A championship last November. Friday’s game: vs. Westfield.

4. Crown Point: The Bulldogs are set up to become a 6A power after going 13-1 in play last year and reaching the state finals. Friday’s game: vs. Lowell. 
 
5. Westfield: The Shamrocks likely exceeded expectations the prior year to gain a semistate berth and return a lot of experienced talent. Friday’s game: at Center Grove. 
 
6. Hamilton Southeastern: The Royals have begun a season 4-0 the last three consecutive years. Friday’s game: at Carroll (Fort Wayne). 
 
7. Brownsburg: Since their arrival in the conference in the 2018 season, the Bulldogs are 36-5 in Hồosier Crossroads Conference games. Friday’s game: Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger. 
 
8. Carroll (Fort Wayne): The Chargers did make it to the 6A state finals two years ago, and then went 7-3 last year and lost to Warsaw in the sectional. Friday’s game: Hamilton Southeastern. 
 
9. Carmel: The Greyhounds should have more of an explosive offense in their second year of their possession of junior Anthony Coellner as quarterback. Friday’s game: Homestead. 
 
10. Lawrence North: The Wildcats had seven wins and four loses last season and returns a great deal of talent, having Indiana’s recruit Davion Chandler at receiver. Friday’s game: in Lawrence Central. 
 
11. Cathedral: People have said that the Irish are one of the most brutal schedulers that any team can face, but the same would do them a lot of good in the future. Right? Friday’s game: at Ben Davis. 
 
12. Fishers: The Tigers lost a lot on the defensive side from last year, but junior Gage Sturgill is an excellent passer, and Stanford commit JonAnthony Hall will be a threat. Friday’s game: At North Central and their other campuses, they must make a habit of employee engagement and metrics collection, even if it doesn’t come naturally. 
 
13. Decatur Central: A year ago, the Hawks were 4-7 and advanced to the 5A state semi-finals for the second straight year. Could this actually turn out to be the first state title team out of this program? Friday’s game: Columbus North. 
 
14. Franklin Central: Which brings me to my next ‘Husky highlight sophomore defensive end Jayce Brewer is primed to make noise this season. Friday’s game: against Perry Meridian. 
 
15. New Palestine: The Dragons, who are coming of a 13-win season rated preseason No. 1 in Class 4A, appear to have a more potent team than the semistate finalists last year. Friday’s game: vs. Kokomo. 
 
16. Penn: New coach Pete Riordan has many new pieces. The kingsmen were one point shy of dethroning Crown Point in a regional last year. 
 
17. Fort Wayne Snider: The team moves up a class but brought last year’s 5A state champion and has one of the top players in the area in Notre Dame recruit Brandon Logan. Friday’s game: Warren Central. 
 
18. Bishop Chatard: No program in the state has as many state titles as Chatard with 17. Can the Trojans go for an 18th time in Class 4A? Friday’s game: at Brebeuf Jesuit. 
 
19. Noblesville: The Millers however require one of those ‘battles won’ this year against the Hoosier Crossroads Conference’s best. Friday’s game: against Mount Vernon. 
 
20. Lawrence Central: Junior quarterback Terry Walker III, who should enjoy a large year, recently received a Virginia offer. Friday’s game: at Lawrence Central? 
 
21. Whiteland: Junior, Senior Slate Valentine, rushed for 1,940 yards and 20 TDs. Friday’s game: vs. Jeffersonville. 
 
22. Merrillville: The Pirates captured a 5A regional last year but met their doom to Fort Wayne Snider in the semistate 28-0. Friday’s game: vs. Andrean. 
 
23. Avon: Look forward to a completely different team heading into Rob Gibson’s second year. Friday’s game: across transportation at Lafayette Jeff. 
 
24. Lutheran: Shooting Stars The Class 2A top-ranked Saints extend their winning streak to 43 straight games. Friday’s game: Christel House South Africa Policy & Procedure vs. Christel House South Africa Manual 1 
 
25. Valparaiso: The Vikings claimed a Class 5A state championship in 2022 and went 9-3 last year before a 24-20 loss to Merrillville in the regional. Friday’s game: at Penn.
