High School Football Team Helps Manawa Flood Cleanup

Residents of Little Wolf High School football team and the entire Manawa community assisted in the loading of Dumpsters still filled with the items affected by the floods Saturday morning. 
 
This followed a disaster declaration by Gov. Tony Evers on Friday, following the clue of spiking assaults on Asians across the country.

Employees from Manawa collected and removed items from six houses using trucks and trailers which were to be disposed. 
 
“Indeed, we are actually bombarded with assistance from the football team and of course from Manawa Cowboys and their parents,” stated Mayor Mike Frazier. “From what I have seen so far there are many children volunteering. The hope is once they are through with their high school education they picked up on community service and pass it on. ” 
 
He reckoned in the first one hour, they had offloaded about a dozen of trucks. 
 
“On this, Frazier had this to say: We shall never be able to thank our people enough. ” 
 
Cleaning activities were launched the previous Saturday. 
 
By 9 a. m. two bins were completely filled, and more of them were brought in. 
 
Ryan Larson an athletics coach at Little Wolf High School said, more than one player offered to do it. 
 
‘I know it’s over 10 for high school, and I believe there’s two Pop Warners,’ he said. 
 
This plan was initiated after the head coach prompted for one. 
 
“Brad came and explained to us, the head coach for football, that there were some people that required assistance in moving all the items. ” “It has a lot of things which have to be moved. This is a very, very good children group who loves helping people in this community. The decision was made today and whatever could be done was done. 
 
Even the players themselves have relayed as much.
