Hayden Panettiere Says She’ll “Always Be Heartbroken” Over Brother’s Sudden Death at 28

Meantime, Hayden Panettiere shares her story how she lost her brother, Jansen, who was 28 years old and died the previous year. 
 
In the cover interview with People this week, the Scream actress opened up on what she had to endure after his sudden death in 2023 due to an enlarged heart with valve issues. 
 
“He was the brother I was left with after my parents divorced and it was my duty to look for him” she said in the publication interview. “I will say that when the man was gone I felt like I was missing half of who I am. ” 
 
After that, Panettiere realized she didn’t want to go outside anymore especially after the photographers tailed her for days after his demise, and even took pictures of her at his burial. 
 
“I had to look at dreadful tabloid pix of myself emerging from Jansen funeral, which occurred somewhere very private and it was quite horrifying,” she said. “I started developing agoraphobia, which is something which I used to have in the past. ” 
 
The Heroes actress said that she gained weight and “ballooned out. ” It lowered their self-esteem as she “didn’t feel confident” buying clothes and going out of the house, but she knew she had to, or she will continue looking and feeling this way. 
 
“It turned into a self- fulfilling cycle of, do I feel secure enough to go out?” she continued. 
 
This light was soon switched on, and everything for the better started changing when Panettiere’s publicist introduced her to her personal trainer Marnie Alton. She could easily feel the chemistry with Alton that which the actress began training. It was stated that they both would go for walks during which they would discuss things and pretty much have a counselling session as well as do exercise. 
 
Nashville star went on to said that she found over time that body was responding to the changes not only by getting fit but by also allowing her to let go of the stress and expectation she had on herself. 
 
In learning how to cope with loss of her little brother she has in one way gained some perspective in life in general; for instance she mentioned that, ‘it has also helped her choose her battles and not let trivial things get on her wrong side’. “Because once something terrible, profound, tragic happens in life, there is little all over again that can shake you,” she told.

“That concept, I will always remain heartbroken about it. I will never be able to handle it,” she said. ‘Regardless of time, the way he died is something I will never overcome’, admitting to being a widow even if the time that had elapsed is many.
