Handpicked Festival returns for 2024

Handpicked Festival returned to family owned and operated Lake Breeze Wines in historic wine district Langhorne Creek on November the 9th for the 10th time. 
 
The new music album from Angus & Julia Stone, Cape Forestier will serve as the fest headliner. This album also presented the opportunity in which the two singers show brother-sister aspects for the first time after seven years. 
 
Nevertheless, the audience is looking forward to getting classic Angus & Julia hits such as ‘Big Jet Plane’ or ‘ Nothing Else’. 
 
“These two harmonising voices and their sentimental lyrics will mesmerise the audience and set up an intimate atmosphere on the lawns at Lake Breeze,” the Handpicked Festival mastermind Kate Cooper adds. 
 
Matt Corby is coming back to Handpicked stage after his show in 2017 and his rich “soulful voice” will perform songs from his latest album called Everything’s Fine which was released in the beginning of the 2023. 

It has tracks like ‘Resolution’, ‘Brother’ and a new track ‘Bricks’ with Aussie soul/pop singer Meg Mac , there is no shortage of yelling and singing. 
 
Following their collaboration in sell out shows throughout the UK, the ‘high energy’ Jungle Giants will be joining the main performances at the Lake Breeze Wines December session. 
 
Listening to their new song ‘Trippin Up’ and four albums of songs will turn the concert into a party atmosphere. 
 
Other acts on the bill are Pete Murray, The Dreggs, CYRIL, Coterie, and Azure Ryder. 
 
There is no SA artist featured in Handpicked Festival this year but Kate assures that there will be a major announcement soon; in the 2023 Handpicked festival, aleksiah and Rob Edwards were featured. 
 
Kate asserts that the ability of Handpicked to sustain its operation is due to the business’s affiliation with the local people. 
 
Handpicked has ensured that its event is a community gathering, and they say this is the reason they have been able to withstand the change of the shift of live music such as festivals such as Groovin the Moo and Vintage Vibes cancelation. 
 
The entire celebration of the festival has always been in Kate’s family estate and the festival is still being managed by the family even as it expanded over a decade ago. 
 
Handpicked also has a point of difference, which is being family friendly and, introducing the Hideaway to parents and breastfeeding mothers in particular.
