Ghosts Season 4 will bring new characters, holiday specials and big changes

Last but not the least, it is the turn of Utkarsh Ambudkar to work with the ghosts.

In the CBS supernatural comedy show “Ghosts,” for three seasons, his wife has been able to talk to brightly colored spirits but he cannot. That transition happens in Season 4 which debuted on October 17 and Ambudkar was doubly privileged to know about it.

“Oh yeah! If only I could lift this table and throw it I would do it now,” an ecstatic Ambudkar said in an interview during a Saturday presentation of ‘Ghosts’ at Comic-Con, a pop-culture fair held at San Diego Convention Center. “At least there are people at work I can talk to. ”

“Ghosts” revolves around the main characters Sam played by Rose McIver and Jay portrayed by Utkarsh Ambudkar who are a couple that get to move to upstate New York to a received a rundown mansion that they decide to renovate into Woodstone Bed & Breakfast. Sam faces an attack and gets extremely close to death, which lets her make friends with the gallery of various cheerful spirits who live there.

The new season has just begun shooting in Montreal, and in it, two new characters will accompany the audience – a deceased and a live one.

Mary Holland is coming in as Patience, the ghost of an overbearing ultra-Religious female who has been left by the gay Revolutionary War spirit Isaac portrayed by Brandon Scott Jones. As for the brutish Patience, in the last episode of Season 3, she evolved from the feral girl from theegranny to the girl from the dirty place of unrest and took Isaac away, and fans will find out what she wants from him in the premiere of Season 4.

Holland’s “funny, she’s quirky, she’s off, she’s perfect for Patience” declared by Joe Port an executive producer of “Ghosts”. Román Zaragoza, who plays Sasappis, a Lenape Native American, has already filmed a scene with Holland: Of course, the most prominent message is fear: “I’m just in awe of her”.

The other new guest star is Dean Norris of “Breaking Bad” fame who takes the role of Frank, Sam’s father. They did not spend much time together after becoming a grown man and a father as Sam’s mom filed for divorce from Frank following which Frank moved to live with another woman and he comes to Woodstone for a visit with his new woman. They are sin-once Sam has harbored anger against her father for years because the latter has been out of her life until a new spirit triggers her to engage in a father/daughter discourse.

Joe Wiseman the executive producer of Day of the Church had this revelation while his 16-year-old daughter was watching ‘Breaking Bad,’ He proposed Norris for the role of Sam’s father. “He’s doing this kinda tough guy, no nonsense Dean Norris kind of part,” Port said to me.

”Ghost” producers also said that episode 3 from the new season will be the Halloween episode and Patience will be featured a lot in it, thus far. “A Puritan ghost will alter a house significantly and might not particularly like Halloween,” Port said.

There is also the intention to produce one-hour Christmas special which will also include the introduction of the main protagonist’s family. With 19 of them now, it is going to be quite crowded, said Ambudkar. “Frankly, I believe that it will quite stressful for Sam indeed This shall be a great opportunity for Sam to repent to Jay’s family or rather more importantly for Jay’s family to accept the amount of love both has for each other.

New season will also follow the new opening of Jay Pickett’s new restaurant, for which Ambudkar quipped that ‘Ghosts’ is ‘going to become that incredibly funny comedy that is called ‘The Bear. ’

The Comic-Con panel also allowed actors to discuss their favorite episodes, an especially choice when Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) a rigid spirit who committed suicide with a phone cord in season three discovers that she used the same phone cord to save fellow ghost Flower (Sheila Carrasco) after she gets trapped in a well.

Wisocky commented that she and other stars discussed with mental-health professionals because the issue was rather delicate. After that episode has been aired, people, sometimes random come and sit next to her and share their own stories.

“That feels really extraordinary to have that kind of communication with an audience especially with an absurd half–hour comedy,” reacting Wisocky, whose character was the original lady of the Woodstone manor adds, “She learns a powerful moment about empathy; she was more vulnerable than she’s ever been in front of this group of people.

Still, “I don’t know if she’s going to be a good person now,” Wisocky added. Wiseman equally disclosed that there has been a slow and gradual softening of Hetty’s exterior and she is going to come out and assist her great-great-great-great niece in managing the B&B whenever Jay is preoccupied with the restaurant business.

Added Wisocky: “I think I would probably be more of a hindrance to her and be bossy when it comes to managing her store. ”
