BTS Suga Apologizes for Careless Actions After Driving Under the Influence on Scooter

The lead singer of the immensely popular K-pop band posted on social media on Wednesday that he was “very heavy-hearted” to deliver fans “unpleasant news”. 
 
BTS band member Suga has stated that he is “deeply sorry” after being fined for driving an electric scooter while being under the influence. 
 
The star of the K-pop band posted on social media on Wednesday that he was “very heavy-hearted” to deliver fans “bad news”. 
 
“I took an electric scooter home after having drinks at a dinner last night,” the 31-year-old said. He said he thought it was a “short distance” and did not know that you cannot use an electric scooter while under the influence, thus breaching road traffic laws. 
 
“I tripped while trying to park the electric scooter at my home and there was a police officer around… I was taken for a breathalyzer test and my license was suspended and I was charged. ” 
 
The singer and rapper also noted that no one was injured or any facilities were affected, but “this is my fault and I have no excuse. ” “I want to apologize to everyone who was affected by my reckless and unlawful behavior and I will be more cautious in my actions to ensure that this does not happen again. ” 
 
The internationally acclaimed South Korean boy band is currently inactive as the members of the band serve their military duties. Suga started his final year, and he was a social service agent. 
 
Bighit, BTS’s record label also issued an apology for the incident. “We would like to offer our deepest apology for the recent event where BTS member Suga had an accident while riding an electric kickboard. We are sorry for the inconvenience that the artist has caused by his/her misconduct. As a social service agent during his military service, he is ready to face any disciplinary measures from his workplace for creating a social unrest. 
 
“We will be more cautious in order to avoid such occurrences in the future. ”
