Boobie Feaster named 5-star prospect, recaps 'great' Oklahoma visit

Rivals is now releasing their first top five-star prospects of the class of 2027 and of course, Ethan “Boobie” Feaster of DeSoto, Texas made the list.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound pass-catcher was ranked fourth overall, but he had to be among the safest bets anywhere for a top-5 ranking.

Why? Here's what Rivals had to say, in part, about the Texas product: Here's what Rivals had to say, in part, about the Texas product:

It might be silly to hear, but despite this being the initial ranking of the 2027 cycle, this has been a long time coming for Feaster. The DeSoto product initially was given an FBS offer for the DeSoto product during his 7th grade in January 2022 and he has continue to increases his offer. . . . Myers is not your typical wide receiver prospect in this class or quite possibly in any class, who has been consistently performing at multiple events, camps and combines. . . He has to be a route running technician, a talent in which he takes a lot of pride in. I have ach of his releases and he moves off the line he shows to take a rep before the ball is thrown. But what he also showed is that he is able to catch anything that enters his air space. He is a ball magnet to put it in layman’s terms. The catch radius that he provides is the best in this class and he looks like he does it effortlessly. Lo and behold as a freshman toting other Power Four receiver talent, Feaster recorded 32 receptions for 634 yards and nine touchdowns to boot for a state championship. "

Regarding his recruitment, Feaster has got 45 offers so far and therefore it is rather too early to predict the outcome.

But he came to Oklahoma for the September 7 win over Houston and had a great time.

“It was a great trip,” Feaster said. They cared much about the culture and they treat you really well. I am so grateful for that.

Therefore his interest has been ignited by the fact that Oklahoma has always been associated with the manufacture of NFL players.

‘Oklahoma has a very good program,’ Feaster said. It shows that they place people to the NFL each year Coach Emmett (Jones) is from Dallas, I know he has a track record of developing talents Coach V [Brent Venables] is very supportive for the program and I heart that about him.
