B.J. Novak and Tim Hollingsworth Serving Up Second Helping of ChainFEST in Los Angeles

Get ready and get a fork, ChainFEST is back again. 
 
Following the success of the first gourmet chain food festival last year, the second edition of the show will be staged at Skylight, Downtown L. A. on October 5. Tickets will be available from Friday. ChainFEST is a spin-off of Chain, the high-concept American dining experience based on chain restaurant dining, featuring B. J. Novak and Michelin starred chef Tim Hollingsworth of Knife & Fork, with Jack Davis and Nicholas Kraft, producer & talent manager Byron Ashley and businessman Abe Burns. 
 
Hollingsworth is managing the “culinary direction” for the event, which has brought more restaurant partners and such interactivity. According to a press release, the ChainFEST L. A. event is set to have more than 15 bespoke gourmet partnerships and engagements from brands such as Domino’s, KFC, Panda Express, Cracker Barrel, White Castle, Johnny Rockets, Krispy Kreme, Red Robin, Red Lobster, Dutch Bros, Hot Dog on a Stick, Trader Vic’s and many others. Koo Koo Roo will also be back for the first time in 10 years as well New on this year’s line up is Bojangles, although, the company has had prior experience participating in the event back in 2012. 
 
For instance, Hollingsworth in cooperation with Cracker Barrel came up with country fried steak-based dish that will also be covered by its dijon cheddar gravy sauce, to be served between Cracker Barrel’s hand-rolled buttermilk biscuit. New for Red Lobster will be cheddar bay biscuits-inspired butter poached lobster biscuits. Krispy Kreme plans to launch “slightly different glazed donuts” ; Domino’s has plans for the “Bougie Pizza” and “Bougie Lava Cakes”. 
 
Other activations include the Cash App and Pepto Bismol experiences. The food offerings will be accompanied by drink offerings from Dutch Bros and the cocktails from Pernod Ricard that range from Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Malibu Rum, Kahlua Coffee Liqueur, Altos Tequila and Absolut Vodka. 
 
“So they work with every Chain to develop new menu items that will only be served at ChainFEST,” Hollingsworth said in a statement. “It’s pretty self-explanatory; every guest will get to see their favored chain as never before – so better come hungry. ”
