10 North Carolina high school football games this August

The teams are hobbling in full dress, they are tackling one another in scrimmages, and they’re officially performing in dress rehearsal jams. The kick off for the 2024 is on Aug. 22 and the following are 10 matches that one should expect during the rest of August.

This season kicks off – with a roar, specifically in the Keep Pounding Classic double-header game at the Bank of America Stadium.

1. The first match is the Independence vs Myers Park scheduled for August 22.

Going independent means waiting for plenty of talent from a team that was in the 4-A semifinals, containing 1,800-yard tailback, Jayden Jones. Myers Park, which was 7-4 a year ago, has a new football, jewel in quarterback Jared Lockhart, transfer from Porter Ridge. Lockhart has the scholarship invitations from Syracuse and Boston College universities.

2. National Championships Providence Day v/s Weddington – August 22

This was already a heavyweight battle. And then Kendre Harrison moved from Reidsville to Providence Day that is turning into a powerhouse school. Everyone expected this game to be a trial because two state champions are coming face to face.

3. Arriving at the Q during the evening of August 23 is to be expected, and anyone to see hoggard a Cleveland native should sample the community supporting the arts as walter will perform here.

This is a match between two high-ranking teams and the direct continuation of their battle in the fourth round of the state playoffs won by Hoggard, 51-35. They have had many successes of which they went 14-2 and even reached the 4-A state championship game season. Cleveland was 13-1 returns star quarterback Jackson Byrd.

4. Profiles that mentioned Rolesville or associated with Rolesville included Rolesville at Butler - August 23.

Rolesville has been a very good team going 12-2 last year Braden Atkinson also back as the quarterback. Butler also performs very well. Looking at the Bulldogs, the team has many of them back and a powerful tailback in Jayden Williams, who rushed for 1,324 yards, last season.

5. Scotland rest at Dillon, S. C. –August 23rd

Scotland was 10 and 3 and went to the third round of the 4-A state playoffs. The Scots have plenty of cutting edge returning when it comes to the offense side. They will be going to a neighboring state-South Carolina for a very tight encounter with a Class AAA title hopefuls.

6. The photographs include Clinton at Wallace-Rose Hill on Aug. 23.

Last year the War Horses were 15-1, they lost to Reidsville in the 2-A State Championship game. Then they lost their head coach and several starters to Marlboro County (S. C. ). They will be threatened right from the start by the Wallace-Rose Hill the East Central Conference champions and Irvining Brown a running back who last season rushed for 1,696 yards.

7. Prince Avenue Christian School from Georgia vs. Mallard Creek High School from North Carolina at the Westside High School in South Carolina – August 24.

Mallard Creek was 7-5 last season and came out of the 4-A state playoffs in the second round. The Mavericks are going to have one of the toughest tasks of facing one of top teams within Georgia. Wolverines: The team is coming from a 14-1 season and from the recently gained 1-A state championship, which was the second in a row.

8. There was a single match played on this day, A. C. Reynolds at Shelby – Aug. 30

One must think that Shelby is title chase each and every year. Specifically, the Golden Lions participated all the way up to 2-A last year. They will attempt to do it one more time with 6-foot-4 quarterback Lan Farmer this weekend before heading home. A. C. Reynolds was 9 and 4 and reached the third round of 3-A playoffs.

9. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Ga. ) vs Christ School – Aug. 30

The Conference in which the school competes is the NCISAA Out of the 7 teams it faced this year, Rabun Gap handed Providence Day its only loss in the 2023 season and lost by a touchdown to the Chargers who were vying for the state championship. That says a lot. As for the specific players, the Eagles are back many starters. Christ School quarterback Mason Holtzclaw is …. catching up on the offers. The 6-foot-4 sophomore simply recently acquired his latest offer to sign up with a university, specifically South Carolina. In total 16 offers are waiting for him.

10. I am very proud of Grimsley and Rolesville for agreeing to have a game on the specified date August 30th.

Newly committed Tennessee signal caller Faizon Brandon directs the Whirlies against Rolesville after leading Grimsley to a five-star rating.
